GS Academy is the leading high performance tennis school in Beijing. We are a foreign based company that uses foreign coaches in our coaching programs from privates to squad training for beginners to the aspiring professional. Since commencing operations in 2007, GS Academy coaches at various international schools and tennis facilities. Work Type: 1 year Full-time Contract Work hours: up to 40 hours per week and any coaching hours after 25 will receive over-time pay RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES: • Oversee workplace operations, including holding staff meetings, and training staff to maintain and improve knowledge, effectiveness and efficiency so programs are of the best quality. • Act as an arbitrator/mediator in work and personnel/personal disputes. • Supervise and manage all coaches so that administration duties are done on time, programs are implemented as directed, stakeholder relationships are prospering and that GS Academy’s vision remains true. • Mentor all coaches to develop themselves, the clients and GS Academy. • Able to implement and foster GS Academy’s philosophy and vision in all aspects of business. • Coordinate with the Director of Programming/Operations Manager on creating and implementing programs for term schedules. • Assist in selection and enrolling clients in appropriate GS Academy programs • Reports to and meets regularly with the Director of Programming/Operations Manager for updates and developments. • Oversee inventory of all equipment and assesses all equipment quality and needs. • Provide on-court instruction to clients and drive all functions and events organized by GS Academy. • Be diligent with administration duties such as records, work logs and lesson plans. • Be a positive representative of GS Academy. SELECTION CRITERIA: • Minimum - Club Pro coaching certificate (Tennis Australia) or international equivalent • Minimum - 4 years coaching experience (all standards and all age groups) • Current First Aid certificate • Playing experience – either National Juniors, College (NCAAA), Futures, ITF, Satellite, or Challenger • Demonstrated management experience or holds a sports management qualification • Experience coaching privates to juniors of all ages and abilities • Experience coaching the following programs or similar: - Mini-tennis - Cardio tennis - ITF junior/college players ESSENTIAL: • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills in English • Ability to work well independently within a team environment • Demonstrates positive outlook, drive and integrity • Ability to build and maintain good relationships with stakeholders • Demonstrates effective problem-solving and mediation skills • Demonstrates an ability to share skills and knowledge with others • Well organized, reliable and punctual • Attention to detail and quality • Initiative and ability to anticipate and action work • Well presented person who likes to look after their health and fitness • Ability to time manage and prioritize tasks yet be flexible and adaptable • Knowledge of US college education system operations in regards to acceptance criteria and procedures for Student-Athletes • The mindset to develop clients’ life skills as well as tennis skills • ITN player rating of 4 or better DESIRABLE: • Physical Conditioning Trainer qualifications/experience   Salary Information:   Benefits Information: • Local Health Insurance • Reimbursement of flight costs from point of origin to Beijing at the end of the fulfilled contract to a maximum of 8,000RMB • All work related transport provided from the Office • 5 weeks scheduled paid leave • Reimbursement of working Visa costs at the end of the fulfilled contract to a maximum of 6,000RMB • Housing allowance of 3,000RMB per month
