Job Description: GS Academy is the leading high performance tennis school in Beijing. We are a US/AUS based company that uses foreign coaches in our coaching programs from privates to squad training for beginners and the aspiring professional. We also run in-school and after school programs for players of all ages and levels.
Since commencing operations in 2007, GS Academy coaches at various international schools and tennis facilities. We are a mobile academy and do not have fixed facilities at this time.
GS Academy is looking for an enthusiastic person with a positive attitude and patient outlook on life. The ability to work in a team environment is important.
Job Description:
The staff/senior Coach is responsible for performing all duties as a professional tennis instructor in executing the program provided by the Director of Programming and under the guidance of the Head Coach.
The staff/senior coach is expected to create and maintain relationships with GS Academy clients, vendors, coaches, staff, and partners for the purpose of providing the best quality service.
Primary Objectives and Duties:
•Representing GS Academy in the best light
•Develop tennis and coaching skills necessary for becoming a Head Coach
•Providing on-court tennis instruction as directed by the Head Coach
•Assist in selection and enrolling clients in appropriate GS Academy programs
•Meet with the Head Coach regularly to discuss development
•Participate in all GS Academy events and activities
•Communicate with all GS Academy staff in regards to any changes or information received from GS Academy clients, vendors, partners, colleagues, and schools
•Maintain administration duties regularly such as lesson plans, rolls, records and scheduling
Qualifications & Experience:
• Minimum - Tennis Australia Level 1 Coaching certification or an international equivalent from a reputable and known tennis organization • Minimum - 2 years coaching experience (all standards and all age groups) • Current First Aid certificate • Playing experience essential – Either National Juniors, Futures, College (NCAA), ITF, Satellite, Challenger • ITN player rating of 4 or better
Essential:
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills in English • Ability to work well within a team • Effective problem-solving and mediation skills • Demonstrated ability to share skills and knowledge with others • Well organized, reliable and punctual
Desirable:
• ATP/WTA playing experience • Massage therapy experience • Physical Conditioning Trainer experience
Work hours: up to 40 hours per week and any billable coaching hours after 25 will receive over-time pay
Work Type: 2 years Full-time Contract

Salary Information: Starting at 8,000RMB per month (25-Billable Hours included) + 3,000RMB Housing Stipend
Billable hours exceeding 25 hours will be paid on an hourly overtime basis. |
